I have read there are quite a lot of problems with SONY VAIO'S to let the audio work through HDMI. However non of the threads has an anwser to my specific problem.

I have bought a Sony Vaio FW31M and I would like to connect it to my DENON 1909 receiver through HDMI. When I do this I will get a videosignal but no audio from my cinema speakers. Even though the the Vaio seems to recognize the receiver, the HDMI output will stay on 'not connected'.

However, when I connect my Vaio directly to my TV it will say it is connected and it will give both audio and video.

I've tried different setting on my receiver between changing settings my notebookscreen will flash.

I've also tried a Playstation on my receiver, connected by HDMI and it works flawless. So I now for sure it's a problem with my Vaio.

I've installed the realtek HDMI R2.03 driver.

I hope someone can help me with this problem.
