Check if it is a single lamp ou dual lamp screen. The dual are very good. As for the rest, the price seems excessive, since it is not one of the latest Sony models with large screen. Also, no numeric pad.

I have the AR 590 and it's an awesome machine. My favorite computer ever! The AR's were called Digital Studio's, and designed with the needs of pro photographers and graphic arists - so the image quality is super and the machine is very robust. It was Sony's Top-of-the-line Model. But don't expect that it's light - it's very heavy and really designed to be a desktop replacement. So you would not be wanting to carry this around every day. If I could get another new one! wow! at that price I surely would. The model I have retailed for $3999.00 It's slightly more expensive than the one you're showing - my screen is 1920x1200, but if you surf the net a lot that can be a disadvantage as the type is natively small. So if you're happy with 1440x900, then go for it. I would for sure!

(btw- And it's designed not to have a numeric keyboard, since it's for graphic applications, not accountants. )
