Hi all,
Last week I installed on my AW11Z's 2nd disk Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I installed it on the 2nd disk as a way of preventing any problems that might occur, and having the possibility of roll back to Vista. That proved to be a wise decision.
Windows 7 has, until now, experienced more crashes that all that Vista had in 3 years in all my machines.
I installed all the drives that sony indicated as suitable for windows 7 64 bits. I really can't get a hold on what is causing the installation to go nuts, but I guess it might be something related to the Nvidia card/driver.
Yesterday, for three consecutive times, while connected to a video projector, the entire system has frozen. At the time, I had no software running.
At times, if I stay AFK, I'll come back to only find it frozen. The same happened while watching a video on Media Player. Also happened while listening music on Firebird.
This may be important: the mouse pointer is still responsive. Everything else doesn't.
Last, but not the least, the laptp won't wake from hybernation.
Does anyone else experienced similar problems?
I really need some advice...![]()
Thanks in advance,
Jorge Olino
