Does anyone actually own one. SPEAK UP, I’m dying to hear from someone with a 240! Not with an older C series, but a 240. Please if you own this laptop speak up. I’m dying to hear from you. Does the screen make the whine nose people with older Vaio's complain about? Im about to buy this laptop I want to know as much information as possible. Does anyone know when the next C series’ will be coming out should I wait for them?

I've had the c25 for a couple of weeks now and besides the bloatware that comes with it, i have to say the performance is top notch. Before i got it i was a little worried about the reported whining sounds but when i got it i hardly notice it unless i'm in a dead silent room. I've noticed with my machine though that the whining only occurs when it is plugged in but when its in mobility mode there is no sound. If you have any other questions just post them and i'll andswer them if i can.

I bought a C290 for my wife and she's happy with it. Not as thin and light as the SZ series, but it does its job. As for the static sound from the speakers, it's not that noticable, unless you're in a very quiet room. We bought the VAIO built to order from SonyStyle.com (Seashell Silver).

I had a whining problem with an FJ270/b I owned ------ the noise really bugged me, but most people I talked to it about thought I was crazy for being so obsessed with it.

just bought c240e last week... so far im liking it.. it hasn't given me any problems yet (i hope it won't). the performance is good. and about those whinning noise.. there is some noise but you won't notice it unless it's very quiet. sometimes i would hear the fan starting, but it goes away pretty quickly. all in all i like my vaio and i think my money's worth it. :)
