    Sony Vaio CR won't turn on ?

    hi everyone,

    i bought my vaio about 2 weeks ago and just started using it this week. this doesn't happen regulary, but when i turn on my vaio the screen doesnt load or anything .. but the power light on the bottom is green. i tried turning on my vaio again today and it's not turning on !! can someone help me ?

    the battery pack is charged

    maybe the power connection to ur screen inside is loose? or a bad mobo? u should have bought something else u know. sony is a expensive ripoff.

    There is no need to be rude about someones choice of system just because you don't agree.

    If your system is that new, just take it back and get a replacement if they allow it.

    I presume the HDD is running and the computer is starting up. Can you see a very feint image on the display (you may need to shine a bright light at the screen). If the feint image is there then the backlight isn't working. You could also try connecting to an external monitor and then booting to see if that works.

    That's pretty rude. I have been pricing 14.1" notebooks and the CR is very competitively priced with regard to other notebooks when configured the same.
