    Hi,

I have sony vaio cs 17g and there is a problem with the DVD writer. When I insert any DVD and open nero or any other burning software, it shows write speed as only 2X. 1 month ago it was properly showing as 8X, but now it shows only 2X. The read time for even blank DVD is also increased. I went to service center but they are saying there is no problem with the hardware.

Previously I had windows vista home premium, then I formatted and installed windows 7 ultimate, but still same problem is there.

Can anyone tell me what could be the problem??

    Thanks,
    Abhishek
