I just got my sony vaio cs laptop. When I plug in an external speaker or a headset, I can hear the sound/music just fine. However, if i unplug the headset or speaker there is no sound from the built-in speaker. I've tried reinstalling the driver, restore OS, configuring sound option in control panel, all to no avail :( .

I like the laptop, but this no sound thing is killing me.

Anyone knows of a fix, or should I send it back to sony?

Seems like there is a problem with the built-in speaker or the cable is loose, try calling sony :)
