Hello People,
I have recently bought a Sony Vaio CS36MJ. Now, i think there is problem in it.
I know i can get it exchanged in fact i did get it exchanged twice but the problem still remains.
Lets get to the problem....
I have windows 7 running on it.
The visualization kinda get stucky sometimes.
And if i do multi- tasking like open couple of windows like there is a song playing in windows media player...
The song kinda stucks sometimes.
Since its a brand new laptop everything should be running properly.
I checked the windows experience index it shows me "4.2".
Everything in there is good except the Disk data transfer Rate its - 5.5. i cross checked it on my desktop its - 5.8.
What i think is -
either the hard disk isnt performing the way it is suppose to .. or
the 4 GB ram chips are defective.
Give me you suggestions and advice.
Regards,
Sam

Anyone who could help me out here ?
I am currently using 64bit windows 7.
Please Help. -
since you have exchanged it twice (not repaired right?), the problem there is the windows 7. sony cs are made during the 'vista period" so i assume that there is a problem in the sony cs drivers for win7. it was just replaced by the newly launched CW series.
one more question, did you Upgrade or it was a preinstalled win7?
try downloading the drivers for your cs maybe there is an available update.
good luck in your cs especially the fan. cross your finger. if the problem still persist, i advise you to change your laptop for another model if applicable. good luck. -
There are a few problems with the CS. I would suggest taking it back and getting a CW.
-
I upgraded it to windows 7. All the drivers are installed properly.
I had windows vista installed from the factory and it still had the same problem.
The Aero Experience is kind of little stucky. -
I don't think they have CW in stock.
Plus i like CS just because of its color.
Is there any way i could solve it ?
The fan ain't much noisy.
Since its on performance mode. -
dont be deceived by the looks of the laptop. we were just like you before. well anyway, its up to you now, the best solution to your problem is to ask sony since its a brand new laptop.
a note to the fan noise. yeah the fan noise when we bought it wasnt noticeable. after 6-8 months of use that's where the problem will start to show up so good luck.
