My brothers Vaio CW needed its exhaust fans cleared out in order to lower temperatures.

I noticed how badly cracked his CPU and GPU paste jobs were.
After reassembled the Vaio boots up but then shuts down shortly afterwards.

No connections were loose and everything was painstakingly put back in the correct order it came from.

We have since decided to purchase some Artic paste and redo both the CPU and GPU.

Aside from the following will we need anything else?

    Arctic Silver 5 AS5 Paste - Artic 5 CPU Grease XBOX PS3 | eBay

    Awaiting feedback urgently.
    Thanks in advance.

No, all you need is the thermal paste apply a even layer of paste and thats it

Thanks for the swift advice +Rep Given.

I assume I can just remove the cracked paste with a wipe and then dry it completely before reapplying the Artic silver?
