    Sony Vaio Disk Check

    I have a Vaio model no. PCG-FXA36 running Windows XP. Started it up this morning and it goes to the disk check screen. It gets to 100% of disk check, then freezes on disk check screen with last line saying:

    \windows\system32\config\system.LOG is cross-linked on allocation unit 529788.

    Can anyone help me get this thing going? Or could you maybe point me to a forum to ask? Thanks for any help.

    Fixed it. Got it to go in safe mode and did a system restore. Just like new. :)
