Hey guys , so I have a question about the power of these two GPUs .
    I'm trying to decide between a Sony vaio 14p E series or the 13.3" S series .
The S has a Nvidia gt640m and the 14p has a AMD 7670m . As far as I'm aware the 7670m is pretty much equivalent to the nvidia gt630m .
So my question is , how much better is the 640m over the 7670m ? The games I play are sc2 and diablo 3 (mainly) .
The reason I'm leaning to the 14p is because I LOVE the style SO MUCH more than the S series and it's $50 cheaper (for my config) .
    Thanks guys !

according to this list: Mobile Graphics Cards - Benchmark List - Notebookcheck.net Tech

The 640M LE (you have the LE edition, lower clocks, but i bet you can OC like in the 330m that was in my Vaio Z) is approximately 25% faster. Both at stock clocks.

look at this list for FPS performance:

Computer Games on Laptop Graphic Cards - Notebookcheck.net Tech

Sadly both cards aren't as new and don't have that many FPS test points. My suggestion: Select the card you want, and the card RIGHT below it so if the card you're looking at doesn't have FPS scores for the game, you know that it is at least >= to the card right under the one you're looking at.

do remember you can OC the cards so you can get at least 10-15% more performance (I got 29% more performance out of my 330M with OC, but it got toasty). You'll probably need to buy a laptop cooler as these are not gaming laptops and OCing will only push their temps higher.

My opinion though, get the Sony S15 w/ 1080p screen. It's only 4.4 lbs which is about the weight of a 13" Macbook Pro and I prefer Nvidia Drivers over AMD (they tend to be more reliable with drivers). And if you're a student in the US, you can get a free PS3 with your purchase (My sister got a S15 and i sold the PS3 for $210)
