Sony Vaio F Series in Premium White?

The US Sony Store website and promo pics shows the F series was available in this colour but it's not an option on any of the pre configured or customizable options. Was it ever sold in this colour? Will it ever be (again)?

 

It was sold that way in 2011 as part of the Vaio Signature Series; I saw one at the Sony Store in Portland and it was pretty cool looking. They're not offering any prebuilt F2s right now, which is probably why you can't get it. Not sure if they'll reintroduce them soon, or if there's an F3 around the corner.

 

Agreed, the white in tandem with the F Series' size, shape and thickness makes it look pretty slick. Too bad it's not around anymore. I'd be buying from Sony Store Canada which weirdly enough is still selling prebuilts, but not in white anyways. Thanks for the info, nice review video of it too btw.

Also, I'm new to VAIO, how often and when typically does Sony offer discounts on their laptops throughout the year?

I remember around back-to-school time last year there were coupon codes for $200+ off AND a free PS3 thrown in for every VAIO ordered. I'm kicking myself for not jumping on it then and dread waiting till August for another opportunity again, if ever.

 

Do you have any Sony stores near you? It's a stretch, that model almost a year old now, but you may call and see if they still have one left. If they do, you could maybe even get a good price given its age.

 

Thanks tried that but nada. And I'm guessing because it's a year old it wouldn't have met many of my spec reqs anywaysm Maybe there will be an F3 later on..
