    Hi,

    I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit on my Vaio F series. I've downloaded and installed all the drivers from the Sony site and have no unknown devices in the device manager.

    I've also installed;

    Setting Utility Series
    VAIO Control Center
    VAIO Event Service
    VAIO Power Management

    But I can't find the option to configure the extra keyboard buttons like "S1". I'm sure it used to be in the VAIO Control Center app in my factory install.

    What else to I need to add it? This is a screen shot of my current Control Center.

    Also how can I disable/hide the 'Scroll Lock' and 'Num Lock' icons in the tray. Do I have to uninstall Event Service? Is there any other side affect to doing that?

    Cheers

    You need to install the Sony shared library at first, before installing the notebook utilities. All other utilities depend upon this library.

    Cheers! I installed shared library and got the extra functions added to Control Center and the tray icons went away without me having to do anything.

    Interestingly enough, I've never installed the Shared Library on any of my clean installs and I've had full functionality in VAIO Control Center. Hmmm...
