Hello all, i'm new here so dont go too hard on me!

I had purchased a Sony Vaio FS115E online for predominately university work. Got it cheap (Tax rebate) through parents company ;). This is my first laptop so I have a question:

    a) Is it common for the notebook to make clicking sounds? Anyone got a PS2? It sounds like that when its [ps2] trying to load, but fainter. It doesnt sound like the hard drive or fan so I am lost for ideas for what it could be. It happens whilst browsing the web, mostly when more than one IE window is open.

    b) The hard drive makes an ever-so-slight scratching noise when loading apps and at startup. Forgive me here people but is this common after two days of use?

    Thanks,

    Jimmy.

i have the fs550 series like my thread above.

the sound is horrible, even at HIGH, it's still low?? go figure that one out, it's not loud at all,

the hard drive, if it's a hitachi i think its normal? it makes noise, even kicking noises at times..
