So I bought a Sony Vaio FW-340DW for school which is the lower end with the X-Brite Eco screen. However, I have noticed something about the battery. When I'm on the Vaio Optimized battery plan, I get 2.5 hours of battery life. But, When I switch the battery plan to Maximum Battery I still get 2.5 hours.

What's wrong? How come I'm not getting any increase in battery life?

I did a 5 min test using BATTERYBAR PRO v3.1 build 60 for the 3 power plans.
    The results are as follows:

Discharge rate (mWh) Optimized 12.682 mWh
    Maximum 10.123 mWh
    High 14.100 mWh

It means that for every plan the discharge rate is different thus battery will last longer.

    # were still fluctuating when stopped test.

    * Yes the test was done on my TZ >
    * Bear in mind that it was a 5 min test and the # were fluctuating(going down)
    * Your #s are higher because the voltage of theon SR processor is higher than TZ

    What are your readings.?

OK, I see what you mean. I should have tested it out first. But, it does last longer.

    Thanks.
