    Hello everyone,

I am thinking of buying a Sony Vaio FW since Windows 7 is now pre-installed. However, I had heard that virtualization was disabled by Sony. Is this still true. If it is, Sony just lost a customer.

From what I heard, the new FW5xx that come with 7 preinstalled actually have VT enabled.

Sony recently updated the BIOS files for the older FW400 and FW300 models to allow enabling of hardware virtualization. The files are posted to the drivers support section. The new FW500 models might already have the updated BIOS. If not, they will probably release it soon. I'm still waiting for them to post the updated BIOS for the FW200 series.
