    Hello y'all

I was planning to buy FW 490, but since FW 590 came out with Win7. I'm about to buy FW 590 CTO. I don't live in the States, so I'm not able to go Sony shop and check FW series. I've a few questions. I'll really appreciate your quick answers.

1-Sony used to call the cheaper lower resolution screen as 'ECO' screen.
But now they call it 16.4" VAIO Display (1600x900). So those are both Eco?

2-Can anybody who has seen fw590 (with 1600x900) closely tell me please? As far as I have read from some posts of the forum, it says the colours are pale and it is dark. Is it really that bad? Isn't it a glossy screen? or is it just that, the people think 1600x900 is bad in comparison with a full hdresolution?

3- I will be using the laptop for gaming, So which resolution should I choose? (1600x900) or HD display (1920x1080)?

I know if I choose HD display, 1920X1080 will make the text very small and it will be very difficult to read. I don't mind that. I've read all the pages but I'm still not decided between the two res screens.

I don't own FW590 yet (I've ordered on last Friday) so my opinion is probably not as useful as people who own one. but i went to sony style store and looked at both screens and talked to the customer representatives there.

I thought ECO screen isn't very bad. I would call it decent compare to other 1600X900 laptop screens.

Of course 1920X1080 screen is better but if you are not doing any graphic work, I think 1600X900 would be not a bad choice. I went with 1920*1080 because I want to have the highest resolution (due to computer programming. I need multiple windows open and already use to small text)

For gaming it depends on what you want. Are you a gamer that wants high FPS? or don't mind low FPS for higher resolution?
HD4650 is a decent card but it is certainly not a hard-core gaming card.
So for new games it won't be able to play high quality with 1920*1080 anyway.
If you want high FPS than having 1920*1080 screen doesn't really change your game play (since you will be lowering the resolution when playing game anyway)

Thanks a lot, yeah I don't mind about low fps. So I better go with full hd.
