    Sony Vaio FZ Eco Friendly - 8400M GT

    Hi,

    I am planning to buy Sony FZ Eco Friendly edition. I am also looking at DELL XPS 1530. The graphics card specified was 8400M GT. But it did not specify how much is the dedicated memory and the VRAM size. If it is as less as 64 MB i will not buy. In site they jus specified as maximum memory 512 mb. Now am in a dilemma. I'll play games but not a hardcore gamer though. Mostly will play UT 2004, AOM and Splinter Cell etc.Dell has 8600M GT 256 MB dedicated memory.

    I'm jus thinkin that it might have lesser graphics card size. Please tell me wats the original graphics card size and VRAM so that i can decide soon.

    I really like Sony products and already own sony mobile and PSP. Now i don wanna goto different product in Laptop

    Well, the FZ21E (Europe model) that I have has a 8400m GT with 64 MB dedicated, extended to 840MB. COD4, UT3, Crysis... runs everythin smooth, although not in high detail of course. Still suites just fine for me, this laptop is more work related.

    Regarding your doubt, you must confirm it by email or either personally at the store. There is a 128 MB dedicated in some models and it seems the 256MB model only comes with the blu-ray drive.

    I've FZ 190E, and it has 256 MB of memory.
