Got a sony Vaio fz285U. what happens is that sound comes out of the speaker from only the left channel. there is no sound at all from the right channel. if i strike it once or twice it comes momentarily. but now that has stopped too. the sound through the headphone jack works ok.
shall i have to disassemble it??? if yes, please give some directions.
    please help...

If the machine is under warranty DO NOT OPEN THE CASE. It will void the warranty. Take it back to Sony for repair.
