For about the last fortnight or so my FZ15G (Asia-Pacific model) was been generating more heat and has been louder than normal. I thought I might have come across bad graphics card driver from laptopvideo2go.com (175 series), so I reverted back to an older set from them and the problem is still there (167.43).

The fan noise is tolerable, but not exactly assuring. My human intuition tells that the fan/s are struggling in some way. NV tune reports the temperature is between 65-70 degrees for the graphics card, while under no significant stress, basically running AIM, MSN and Firefox. I use my FZ on a flat wooden surface.

What do you think I should do?

yeah i have the same problem... I can hear the fan and heat is a little worse than I would think is good for the system...

I am contemplating on buying one of those laptop fans to help cool me down some more..

I am getting worried because my warranty runs out in the end of July.

More heat is normal for any thin notebook with a dedicated graphics card.

Mine typically hoovers around 54-56C, yours is 10-15C hotter. I would suggest that you drop all the way back to the original video driver and see how that works. That's pretty darn hot, IMO.

Use a can of compressed air to blow any dust out of the vents that might have built up.

Any specific information on what temps where like before and what happened to make the temps rise would help :)

I might try installing the stock drivers again. When I first got my notebook my graphics card temperature hovered around 55C.

Even when my notebook is at rest its noisy.

    So it could be dust.
Also be sure to use driversweeper to uninstall any old drivers before imstalling new ones.
