I purchased a Sony Vaio FZ 290( Refurbished ) from Sony direct just a couple of days ago. I like it a lot but it gets uncomfortably warm/hot on the top, specially on the palm rest and above the mouse .
The temperatures ( Speed Fan ) are pretty normal I guess at around 46 C to 56 C.
I had a Vaio FS before and never had this bothering warm feel on the surface, even when not directly touching it! But just keeping my hand over the touch pad area is warm already.
Does anyone else has the same problem? Is that maybe normal with this model???
Or what could be wrong with it even though temperatures are o.k. ???
Shall I return it to Sony as long as it`s in the warranty period ??
Please help.
Thank you![]()
( I know on cheap dell laptops it happens but I thought such ``high class`` laptop should n`t be so uncomfortably warm???!!!)

The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
A bit warm is okay IMHO.As long as the CPU,GPU and HDD temps are okay, dnt worry

Thank you very much, so do you think all models are the same warm, or might I have one that is ``hotter``??? ( because the warm feel to it bothers me and I don`t need more heat being in Miami...)

Maybe theres dust clogging up in the fans/inside?
