    Hi there,

I've purchased a Sony Vaio FZ-N140N/B and it starts beeping whenever I start it. It happens past the Vaio logo, and I have to press Stop or Start at the Multimedia control, so it can proceed to Windows.

I've tried running only battery, without battery, replaced the memory, but still, everytime I turn the computer on, past the Vaio logo, it starts beeping and it only stops after I press Play or Stop on the multimedia control. After that, Windows works fine.

Can anybody help me out here?

    Thanks!

Maybe there's some odd setting in the BIOS...if you can access the BIOS and check the settings...otherwise, looks like you'll have to call somebody knowledgable or call sony.
