I have a Vaio computer for about 2 1/2 years model PCG-8Z2L. The battery dropped dead at about 1.5 years and sony wanted $160.00 for a new one. I just keep the battery in the computer and keep it plugged in. My computer scrambled its screen the other day but still was able to get it through a start up fix to get it to work normally. Normal startup stopped working. I than was able to get it working on a safe with networking mode but now not working. Now it won't boot up to the Icons showing but only makes it to a menu screen. I pic safe mode but no go! Is there a way to reboot this to the factory setting from power on. Sony said it might be a mother board or screen connection and cost $600.00 dollars. TOOO MUCH MONEY! I thought a reboot might work. HELP NEEDED! EMAIL [email protected]
