    Problem.

I have had a Sony K315Z from new since December 2004

Within weeks of purchase I experienced severe screen flickering
ie. lines accross the screen jumping up and down making it impossible to use.

FN and F12 held down together sent the laptop into standby mode and on restarting the flicker had stopped and did not reappear until the next time the Laptop was used.

The machine was sent back to Sony under warranty but they just wiped all my programmes and files returning to me with the statement NO FAULT FOUND.

As long as I stuck to using the Laptop as it came out of the factory without adding any other software - no flickering.

I therefore assumed it was a software conflict - reloaded Office/Quicken/Serif/Photoshop and so on and put up with the occasional flickering.

Does anyone out there have any ideas what could be causing this and what can be done about it as it is now driving me up the wall!!

    Valium does not help.
