Hey everyone i have the sony vaio vpceb390x.

By the way, i am having 2nd thoughts about returning it because the laptops looks so nice but the left and right click don't work on touchpad and might just have the sony tech come over.

But does your sony laptop battery charge very slowly like mine\? When my battery is low, i plug the charge in and say its 20 percent left. I charge it for 30 minutes and battery life only goes up to 45 percent. I think it takes about 1.5 hour to charge it fully! Is my laptop faulty on battery as well? My old dell laptop probably takes about 35 minutes at the most to fully charge it 100 percent.

Also, most of you guys get 2 hours or so battery life on it after fully charge correct?

I think it's OK. My 1 year old T400 takes 3 hour from 7% to fully charged. You have new one so 1.5hour is reasonable IMO.

Shouldn't it take faster to charge? Or is this sony? My 4 year old dell laptop now currently just has about 30 minute battery life when fully charged. However, it takes at most 35 minutes to get it fully charged. Why does it take so long for battery to charge with sony?

I think it's a SONY thing...recently purchased an extended battery for my SR series. It took a minimum of 3.5-4 hrs to fully charge and I get 4 hrs out of it

That's pretty normal - My 2 year old FW will take 2-3 hours to full charge, my SOny Netbook (extended battery) takes almost 4 if nearly drained.
Also highly recommend use the Vaio Battery Care feature (I have mine set to 80%). Keeps the battery from charging all the way. My Fw battery has 1% wear after two years of use.

Is there a reason why my old dell charges so fast? It always charges fast.

hey, thanks for the handy tip ! just bought an extended battery for my SR Vaio but want to extend its life as much as possible as they are hard-to-find and thus can get very costly !
