I am having some problems with my Sony Vaio: I have tested the memory, HDD, processor, on another system and they're working. The problem is that the notebook is not starting. I mean the cooler starts, and the HDD, but the screen remains black. I think the BIOS is messed up, so i request a bios for my model, because i didn't find on the sony support syte my model of laptop. Any other advices are highly apreciated. Thanks. [ :p]

Maybe the connector to the LCD is bad/damaged if everything else seems to work well? Maybe something wrong with the Mobo?

I didn't see it either on Sony's site. Maybe the video card has gone bad? At this point, maybe call to Sony wouldn't be a bad idea. Even if you had to spend a few bucks maybe they could point you in the right direction to either right bios or replacement part. I don't know how you are going to update to the correct bios if you can see anything. Good Luck.
