see on the bit be4 the keyboard where ur wrists rest on, u see the lights for power and network.

it seems when I'm plugged in I'm getting pin pricks and it makes me think I'm getting small electric shocks, is this common is it safe the reason I am concerned is cos I have a two year old who likes to watch the nursery rhymes on youtube lol I'm just slightly concerned, I have a surge plug and I use it, but be4 I was plugged directly into the socket, I've changed socks and all and still the same problem.

    Any help kindly appreciated :D

So it is fine when running off battery but not while plugged in? Could you try plugging it into a different power outlet, say in another room or at your workplace or friend's/relative's place. I'm suspecting:
    1. poor ground connection - need to call the power company/ building supervisor.
    2. interchanged live and neutral wires - call an electrician to rewire the socket if it is just one or two sockets; call the power company/building super if it is all over the house.

See if you can borrow a compatible adapter. Might be a faulty component in the adapter itself.
