I've had this laptop for a good 2 years now without any major problems until now. From closing my laptop last night and then opening it this morning this morning the wireless decided not to work for me.

In trying to go to the device manager to investigate the problem, I saw that the under the "Advanced" tab in my PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection Properties that my wireless was turned "off". In trying to switch it to on I am getting the message, "This setting will only take effect if the adapter's power button has been switched on." Well, my button is located at the front panel of my keyboard and it is switched on, but there is no light indicating otherwise.

    Any ideas? Thanks,
    Hazeld0g

hi! have you fixed your wireless network? i hope you do, if not, you can click the smart vaio network icon on the system tray and then click WLAN and that's it!
