I fresh installed my 4 years old Sony6 Vaio Pro (SVP13218PGB) from windows 10 settings menu, after noticing some performance degradation.
However, somehow the laptop performance became way worse after the fresh install. Only after several hours of tweaking here and there while looking for the answer on the internet, it turned out that installing VAIO applications can fix the performance issue.
Installing VAIO applications somehow is not as easy as downloading the apps and then installing it. Most of the official apps put out error message when they are being set up in the VAIO pro device. Tons of customers questions in the official forum remains unanswered since Sony no longer support VAIO line (it was sold to a small Japanese company).
The blanket answer from the Sony’s support to recover VAIO apps is to rollback to windows 8.1 and then upgrade to windows 10. Well I didn’t backup my pc so I have to find another way.
I tried some of the solutions mentioned on the internet but nothing works. Here’s how I am able to install VAIO apps (especially Vaio Control Center) in my Sony Vaio 13 (Windows 10 ):
1. Install Vaio Care (for windows 10) from official link ( https://www.sony.co.id/en/electroni...svp1321-series/svp13218pgb/downloads/Y0006058)
2. Install Vaio Update from another variant of VAIO (SVP132BPXB) ( https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-download.pl?mdl=SVP1321BPXB&upd_id=10269&os_group_id=24)
3. Open Vaio Care, go to VAIO Update ( http://prntscr.com/iqn0ux)
4. Update the Vaio Care App from Vaio Update
5. Open Vaio Care, got to Advanced Tool tab, and click Reinstall applications and drivers
6. Install All Vaio Apps via Vaio Update.

Voila! Hopefully this guide can helps you install these pesky but needed Vaio apps.
