    Hi All,
My current predicament is i have a sony vaio fs515H, at the moment, yes i know it is a considerably oldish model. Anyways im trying to sell it, and the person who is interested wants Vista installed- i have the disk but the RAM is only 512mb so when i dis install Vista, the computer ran immensly slow! So i am considering upgrading the RAM to about 2gb- but 1 problem the RAM specs-
The RAM card presently installed is- PC2-4200S-444-11-A0
but i found 2 * 1GB ram cards for a good price but slightly different specs-
    'GB DDR2 PC2-4200 RAM - 200-pin SODIMM'
I would like to know would that type of RAM card fit? 4200 instead of 4200s? Is there a size difference or is it compatible??
Please help or if you do know a helpful website that could assist please post! Ive tried sony vaio official website- absolutely uselss, no web admin eamil address, no support email address, only a TOLL international no- which doesn work for me as im currently in africa where the telecommunications networks arent the greatest. :(
    Please help!
    Thanking in advance
    Terry

Try the Crucial web site. I believe they have an easy 'ram checker' thingey which lists compatible ram for your make/model... it's worth a shot?

Thanx man i did- then i looked for the model they gave me on amazon and found a reasonable price 20 pounds- but i then went to Kingston website and found the same type of RAM card- checked compatibility and it worked- for half price- so just a heads up for anyone looking to buy ram- and both come with lifetime warranties
