As an avid user of my dedicated media buttons on my old laptop, it was a bit difficult getting use to the lack of media buttons on the S13. However, I feel that it might not be that difficult to substitute specific buttons to make them into dedicated media keys. Has anyone tried to do something like that?

Update: NVM I got it =)

    RandyRants: SharpKeys

I replaced my insert and delete keys with the media forward and backward buttons. Then I replaced the web button at the top with the play/pause song button. I made that weird windows key to the left of the left alt key the delete button. I found this the to be the optimal layout since I never use the insert key. Plus now I now can press control+alt+del with one hand =)

you're slapping the inventor of the combination ctrl, alt, del because it was chosen in a way that you cannot do it with one hand on a standard keyboard :)

interestingly, if you held down Alt and del together, the pressed ctrl, it wont work! you have to hold down ctrl + alt, then add in the del =O

I can't imagine doing without the Windows key, that's how I launch all my programs. Hit it and start typing the name of what you want to run!

no, i didnt substitute the windows key. I replaced that key that is to the right of the RIGHT alt, sandwiched between the ctrl button. The button looks like a file with a small arrow to the top right corner. Its a relatively useless button! all it does is pull up the right click drop down menu! =D
