Okay, I've been having random freezes ever since I got this laptop. Now my dvd drive can read cd's but can't burn. And my webcam is not on.

    I used CPU-Z and found out I have the HM-67 B2 Chipset.

The laptop is under warranty, but I can't convince them to swap the motherboard to fix this issue. Any advice?

That defect only affected sata ports and nothing else. also if the drive came with the laptop it's fine because they wouldn't have connected it to the defective port

Did you reinstall once before? Did you install all the drivers correctly?

    CPUZ says Rev9 B02
    ADIA64 says Rev5 B03

My optical disk shows that its on Sata Raid 4 - according to RST !

I turned off my optical disk drive in bios and I haven't had any freezes for a couple of days.

Is it possible for me to switch the RAID port for the optical disk drive?

I'm pretty sure Sony never used any B2 chipset on the SA/SB. There's a feature in the BIOS which makes CPU-Z reports it incorrectly.

It's not a B2. Regardless, your symptoms aren't consistent with failing B2 anyhow.
