    Hello,

I just got my laptop today, and I'm having some issues with the mousepad.

By default, it is set so that when I move my mouse pointer over a file or folder, it automatically highlights/selects it.

I really don't like this, as I am used to having to select it myself.

Can someone let me know if this can be changed?

    Thank you in advance :)

Go to Control panel -> Folder Options -> ..and then you need to select the option that says "double-click to open an item."

All Sony VAIOs are initially configured to interface with the desktop like a webpage (e.g. the one-click functionality). It's always the first thing I change. :)
