Hi,
I`ve bought Sony Vaio SZ770NC during my trip to USA. Seller told me that it`s brand new, but I`m not sure. What`s the difference between New and Refurbished (in packaging, stickers etc.)?
My SZ was in a box, Without manual!, with card reader. Notebook has all the stickers on it (but they look strange, like they were sticked after refurbished)
Tried to consult with Sony E-Support but I can`t register my model![]()
Sony Vaio Club Europe not accepting my serial number.
And to use Sony E-Support USA I have to provide my address and phone in USA.
Thanks in advance for help!

Try posting pics of all the items that are included + the box, so we can better give our opinions.

I doubt that Sony in the EU will allow you to register your computer in the EU as you will not have any warranty at all for your laptop in the EU. You will have to send your notebook back to the US if anything goes wrong with it.
Maybe you could try registering with Sony US with maybe someones details that you know over there?
There was no manual in the box with my laptop but it did come with a basic quick start guide and a pretty basic troubleshooting and recovery guide. Sony expect you use the user guide that is installed on your HD. Mine also came with the card reader adapter. Mine also came with a XP restore disc and a sim for my 30 days mobile broadband. Mine was also bought as new. -
So it`s most likely that`s new... Happy with it
Unfortunately new problem appeared:
when I plug-in power adapter and then touch the area near touchpad I feel electric tingleDoes someone have the same problem?
P.S. I still like my SZ. Mainly because of the screen quality...
P.S.S. I have checked this forum one more time and found some info about electric tingle. It`s here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=45008&page=1
