I have an FZ21S and it appears that when I display certain colours on the screen I get a banding effect (the colour should look solid but appears to have dark lines running though it). Has anybody else noticed this kind of effect?
I have attached an image which contains the particular colours which cause the problem. To test your screen download the image and view it in paint. All the colours here seem to have the problem!!!

I've also noticed that the lines dont appear visible when it image is viewed in IE! I guess this must mean its a driver problem?

What do you think of the FZ21S?
Why did you buy it?
What else did you consider?
I ask because I am considering getting it and I am comparing it with a Toshiba -

Apart from the display issues I'm having I'm very pleased with the laptop. It's a good high spec model which gets a 4.8 in the windows user rating. The blu-ray is nice but it is a read-only drive so you cant write to blue-ray disks. The keyboard is firm and takes a little getting used to but I like it now. The screen is very bright and reproduces colours really well. (I used to have a Qosmio G20 and it's display is as good as that). Only issue I have is that the usb ports are close together and close to the media drive.
The screen display seems to be an issue though. This is the second laptop I've had and it's got a problem!
