    Call me conspicuously consumerist, but if I'm paying for a 'signature version' while I know that a decent chunk of the price hike is in uber-specs, I need more than a different powdercoat to draw me in.

    Gold SR-it would look better if just the outer lid was gold though.
    Red Z
    Carbon fibre Z
    I really like the Kalediscope Z cover.
    Not such a big fan of the croc covers.
    The Purple CS is what some people wanted in the US.

    Prices are decent in the US and this will encourage some people to buy.
    Why do i feel though that we are likely to a return of some of these choices? I'm doubting how limited edition some will actually be.

    Probably not that limited over time. I don't want colours - I want (and frankly speaking the Z/TT needs) different case materials, different textures and different panel designs (not pictures on them but in terms of structure).

    Except that I find "Electric Purple" sounds better than Deep Violet. :p

    The Z790 Kaleidoscope doesn't look too shabby but the Z98 Carbon Fiber with 512GB SSD is absolutely insane. I'll just pretend I didn't see the price though.

    I think at least half of the casing options are available in CTO page anyway...so if you like the case but don't like the spec you can just CTO one

    I will say the Red and CF Z, and the Gloss black P are the only ones I would be looking at. Also, the blue TT, and Kaleidescope Z if they actually looks better in person.

    At the Sony Style location close to my Uni, they have a Gold TT on the floor, and it kind of gaudy looking, and it seems like it market towards those women who also like to carry around(and even sometimes show off) a gold color purse/bag.
