I've read that some computers with InsydeH20 bios can automatically flash bios files on a FAT32 USB drive with the below steps, but I've been unable to do so (although it does seem to boot slower than normal).
Is there a certain key combination to allow this?
I'd like to experiment with modifying bios files but won't without a failsafe.
Doesn't seem to work:
- Unplug, poweroff computer
- Hold Fn+Esc
- Plug AC back in
- Press and release power
- Release Fn+Esc keys

I suggest you not try this, if you brick it you might need a new motherboard or have to send the motherboard in for repair if it is even possible. Also this is a work computer right, so why risk it? There is another forum, I'll find you the link, where they can modify the bios file for you( ie. Unlock hidden features etc). You've been warned though!!!!!

I'm sorry I wasn't clear, but I was asking if there was a way to recover from a brick (from flashing a bad bios) similar to the Fn+Esc method. I won't try unless I can recover from a bad bios flash.
I wouldn't bother but literally the only thing I can change is virtualization on this laptop.
Thank you
