This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Sony Vaio T Series UEFI Boot/BIOS Flashing

    Hi,
    I received a SVT13116FXS for work which I promptly reformatted/reinstalled with Windows 7 Enterprise.

    Is there a way to enable UEFI boot now that I can't access the "Assist" partition anymore?

    I've tried flashing the bios under the Windows 8 section of the downloads/support site in the hope it would have the ability to toggle UEFI boot, but nothing has changed.

    Is there some setting in platform.ini that I could change to completely rewrite the flash and might enable toggling UEFI boot?
