Hi everyone.. these forums have helped alot and right when I decided that I was going to get the s580, I went to fry's and saw the TX650. Now my questions concern the TX650 and I did a search and couldn't find a clear cut answer. anyways..

    1. What version bluetooth is the TX650?
    2. Is it durable? (I'll be purchasing a sleeve for it, I just don't want it to snap in half when i put it in my backpack with a few books)

    Thanks everyone

    2. It is pretty durable overall, but you want to be careful with the ultra-thin lid. I wouldn't put it with more than two large hardcover books, like engineering textbooks, in the same bag -- unless I want to pay attention and make sure the laptop is always on top of the books rather than beneath them when I carry the bag around (we tend to lay or carry bags a certain way anyway, so this is not as problematic as it sounds).

thanks for the reply.. i went with the TX650 since the S580 is on backorder till Feb 20th. I guess they are going to have to have the SZ ready by Jan 24th b/c it looks like the S series are depleted.
