I have recently performed a motherboard change on my TZ21 because it was cracked! After the change over, the LED backlight no longer works. I am 100% sure it worked before the change over but now all I get is a dark screen. The new motherboard is working as you can see the bios and op system loading on the dark screen.

It was a straight forward mobo change nothing more. I just can't figure what has gone wrong.

I will appreciate any suggestions or a pointer towards something I may have missed.

most likely a loose connector where the lcd plugs into the motherboard.

I've checked the LCD to mobo connector...It's making proper contact. Does anyone know if the screen supports an inverter like convensional non LCD backlit displays?

Your LCD back lights has no problem, but the motherboard. LED back lights get power right from the connector. You got the new motherboard with the problem that the power supply to backlight was failed.
