I have taken my laptop apart a few times in the recent past, but this time I may have gone too far. While trying to figure out why my wireless slider switch no longer had the same click sensation and appeard to be off the track, I disconnected a white rippon within my laptop.

Everything I normally use appears to be fine. I taped up the ends so it wouldn't short circuit anything, but would really like to know what functionality I lost.
