    Hi anyone,

    here's my problem,

My Sony Vaio VGN FS415B laptop LCD screen is too pale.
I can't adjust it in a satisfactory way with the normal options.
I have installed the latest 'Intel graphics media accelerator driver for mobile', but I can't get it to display a decent quality picture.
The picture remains to pale and I can adjust the brightness, with a result of it becoming either to bright or too grey.
The card seems to be ok, because when I use the external monitor
I can adjust the contrast, but it only results in flickering of blue and grey fields, and a distortion of the colours, like it is overexposed.
Note: When I look at the screen from a low angle, it seems it is alright, so my guess is it has something to do with the lamps being too bright... Or something?

    Help most apreciated!

    Kind regards,

    Henk

Try disabling the power-save function on the Intel graphics chip, somewhere in the settings panel for the Intel driver. It's been known to cause washed-out displays.
