After so many problems with my SZ5 running Vista I reformatted and re installed - I then get a virus so re formatted once again - After adding insult to injury my vaio suffers hard drive failure ..... I decided to install Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit.
My new hard drive is 320 GB instead of the 160 so Bags of room now !

Partitioning was no problem and despite following as many forum posts as I could find on installing 7 and the possibility of F keys not working I thought I would be OK and they, together with the S1 /S2 keys would function - Alas this is not the case - THEY DONT - PC runs faster though and is much cooler.. Is there Anybody who can help to get the F keys working ?? Lots of posts for other Vaios but nothing for a VGN - SZ5XWN also Mass Storage Controller - Driver needs to be sorted out - the location? - PCI bus 9, device 4, function 2 - Anyone have any ideas ??? for this and the function key drama which it seems is an illness of all Vaios !

    Thanks in advance Darren
