    Sony Vaio VGN-B3VP Sound problem!

    hi, i have recently bought a sony vaio laptop second hand and installed vista on it, everything is fine except their is no volume even though the sound control is on full. When i plug head phones in there is a very small amount of sound :S

    does anyone know how i can fix this??

    there could be a problem with the sound card , hardware wise, you should buy an external usb or pc card/express card sound card. That is worth a try. Hope i could help
