I have an issue with my internal speakers, where they won't work after unplugging the ac power until I put the computer into sleep and bring it back up.
    It's annoying.
I've tried reinstalling the driver, and device manager shows it to be working properly. Any ideas?

I have a VGN-CR220E and I have the same problem. At first I believed that it might be something related to Windows Vista, but now I'm not so sure about it.
    Any solutions?
