Hey, um.
I bought a FW235D sony vaio laptop, about 5 months ago and Im just wondering about a couple of things.
When I bought it, I looked at the specs and they looked decent with a duel core t5800 intel processor, and a "Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD" I think it was called. Anyways, being a student, I use it for school of course, but I also enjoy a few games on the side; however, when I do play games, the thought always is running through my head, "why is this so crappy?" Even a game from 2000, diablo 2 has stuttering issues, as if the laptop itself was also from 2000 and the game is too intense for the machine (but that game 2D graphics!).
What Im wondering is if this laptop is supposed to be THIS bad with games? I mean, Im not great with computers, but when I bought it I was told it was an allround laptop and from my previous knowledge with computers, I thought it seemed like it too. Everything else about the laptop is lightning fast and it plays HD movies like a dream, but anything remotely related to PC games just is a nightmare for it it seems
anyways, any comments would be appreciated

the Intel 4500 is an integrated card...not meant for gaming.
Yes, its supposed THAT bad with games. The 4500 has no dedicated graphics memory, but takes dynamically an amount from the main memory...which means its SLOW.
Compared to other modern integrated graphic cards like the Nvidia GeForce 9400M (G 102MNVIDIA GeForce G 105M) or AMD ATI Radeon HD 3200, the GMA 4500M HD noticably slower and provides less optimized drivers for games.
A new feature of the 4500 chip, are the integrated HD video-decoding functions. The GM45 is able to decode HD-videos in the formats AVC, VC-2, and MPEG-2 to help the CPU. This was not present in the previous generation of the Intel x3100
You should have done some research before buying instead of relying on some typical sales idiot that this was an all-round laptop when its not.
