Hey folks I have this here beautiful laptop that went a.w.o.l on me and to be hinest I knackered it up. So here I am, I have upgraded the system to windows xp pro instead of media center edition and I cannot get my speakers to work!

I have a legitimate version of windows xp pro, and have reinstalled the drivers from the sony site as well as all the utilities. When I check the hardware profiles I have an unrecognised PCI Device and cannot find the drivers for it. In the Sounds section of the hardware profiles it says I have installed all the codecs and stuff yet still no sound.

Has anybody got any ideas? If you need more details just shout and I will get them to ye!

    Thanks a million in advance!
