My Sony Vaio VGN-N320E went black/blank yesterday, 2 months after 2 yr. ext. warranty expired. Not even any power or lights. Local tech says it looks like a bad motherboard. Sony Service request says send us your credit card # first then probably $500 to fix. I'm also afraid to sign up for $49 technical support since they will probably say...yep send us $500. It was only $800 new! We use HPs, Dells, Toshibas here at work for last 20 yrs. and never has this happened with heavy use. I can't get a live human being at Sony. Help! Does anyone have any idea what to do. I have exhausted all avenues such as Sony support chat rooms, and all the tele #'s say send us $49 and we can talk. ps...techs say they have seen this with other Sony Vaios.
