I just bought a Sony Vaio VGN-N320E and installed windows XP Professional. I have video, audio drivers, but I want the memory stick reader/writer, wireless, and modem and ethernet. If anyone could provide a link to drivers it would be much appreciated.

From my experience, it doesnt matter. One time, I reinstall my old desktop (ME) to 2000, I simply use my original drivers, and it work.

Is it possible to downgrade this laptop to XP? I also have one and I can't tell you how disappointed I am with Vista. This machine is slower than any computer I have ever owned, thanks to Vista. There are so many things that irritate me about it I don't even want to go into it. But I am afraid of trying to install XP on it because of the hardware driver issues. Anyone actually succeeded in doing it?

It really sucks. What a fool I was to buy a machine with Vista installed on it. Never again. I guess the only option is to sell it for what I can for it and buy something that has XP.

It's possible to install XP on there considering XP is preloaded on the N1 series, which has nearly the same hardware specs as the N3 series. It's just that no one has written a guide for it yet.

I have bought a laptop of Sony: Sony Vaio VGN-N385E. The default operation system is Window vista Home Premium, but I can’t build my project ASP.NET on it, all javascripts of my project are errors. So that, I install the another OS that Window XP. Unfortunately, I can’t use Fn key to control the other device such as Projector, Fn + F7, Fn + F5, Fn + F6…
Can you help me because of my work!

    Many thanks,

If it is true, one would think that all you need to do is download the XP drivers for the N1 series. No guide would be required. I would love it if that works. Has anyone tried it?

Here are the drivers for the downgrade. Read the lil story thing about the downgrade and follow the links to all the drivers and all will work 100% tested. If anyone would like just make a zip file of the drivers from the links I provided for the drivers and upload them to this site so everyone else can get them in one zip file. I dont have time to do it iv got more things to do with fixing other comps for peeps. Oh and Admins please take the newbie off my name I'm no noob and will not keep posting my work and skills which are going to be very useful to this site and its groupies. Put "no it all" or something else. Ex:"advanced User" "Master Of All" Just makin fun :p
