    Sony Vaio VGN-NR-160E ( PCG-7Z1L) - Not powering ON.& not charging battery.

    Tried the following:
    • Removed back cover,checked the DC input & reading 19.5 volts.
    • Voltage at bat. charging terminal is 0.5volts.
    • Disassembled completely, cleaned all cotacts with ISOPROPYL alcohol,reassembled& no effect.
    • With pressing the ON button , NO Leds lighting including Bat. Charge indicator.
    • Gone thru various articles on the subject. Need circuit diagram to locate the fault.
    • kindly help me . Thanks

    Remove the battery and see if it powers on with AC power. Might be a dead battery (internally shorted).
